About Anny’s Blog

This blog was created so that I can share my cooking and baking experiences with friends and family, especially for my 12-year-old nephew, Jojo, who is in Indonesia.  Jojo and I share the same passion for the kitchen.  I hope that one day, we can be in the kitchen together, and I can imagine how much fun would that be!

This blog also includes my husband’s cooking and grilling, which he learned on his own and from reading the internet.

Prior to this blog, I shared pictures of our food on Facebook for my friends and family to see.  However, I felt like I needed to do more than posting pictures on Facebook.  I wanted to tell more about the food we made, thus, this blog was created.

I also included step-by-step pictures of the preparation of the food, because that would be what I look for in a cook book, or in any food blog.  I am still learning my way around the kitchen.  I found that seeing what the food should look like at any given time, during the preparation, is really helpful.

Pictures that I posted earlier were shot using a Sony DSC-H2 6MP; a point and shoot digital camera.

More recently posted pictures were shot with a Canon Rebel XSi with an EF-S 18 mm-55 mm lens.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you enjoy reading this blog and looking at the food’s pictures.   To learn more about me, click here.

In June 2013, due to Food Network’s quick dismissal of Paula Deen for what she had said twenty years ago, I have decided to remove all links to Food Network.  Although I’m not really a fan of her, I do not agree with their treatment of Paula Deen.  All recipes found from Food Network are still credited.  However, I just will not have the link available from my personal blog anymore.  This is how I will voice my disagreement with Food Network.

Feel free to email me with questions, comments, or if you just want to chat about food at stdaxo01 at yahoo dot com.
